Recognized pizzeria in Lausanne
In 1958, Azario Mario Colombini left his native Tuscany to settle in Lausanne. He takes root above a bakery that delivers his dough to him. He starts by making small format pizzas that go away in no time.
On the strength of this lightning success, he decided to make his own coveted and never equaled dough which then made the success of Chez Mario for decades. At first, his clientele was students and workers. The room is filled every noon, every evening. These customers then become regulars, and constitute a quality clientele.
Constantin of Greece, Yul Bryner or even Prince Victor-Emmanuel of Savoy meet in this place that has become essential. They blend in with the decor, and mingle with the unfussy regulars. The quality of its dough and the ingredients chosen build its success, and its still intact reputation.
Azario Mario Colombini died in 1993, but his gastronomic legacy lives on.

Place, at first difficult to access, you have to go through the "tunnel" before encountering a wall of graffiti covered with testimonials from customers of the pizzeria over the past 60 years, before having access to the sweet flavors of theItalian food. Today, a furnished patio is available, ideal for sunny days. On the menu: Antipasti of fresh salads, smoked ham, basil, toasted bread, Rucola, mozzarella, zucchini and tomatoes garnished with extra virgin olive oil and lemon. Piatti of lasagne, focaccia, eggplant, peppers, mushrooms, artichokes, potatoes, bacon, eggs and sausages dressed with raclette cheese, mozzarella, Ricota and Rucola .

RESERVATIONS*
At Mario's, it's simple, you don't need a reservation and we always strive to find you a seat as quickly as possible.
However, if you still want to make a reservation, you have the option to use the form below.
For groups, all members must arrive together and at the specified time.
For groups of more than 15 people, you can pre-book, but please call us at 021 323 74 04 for coordination.
Requests received during service hours will be answered afterwards.
On Fridays and Saturdays, we only accept reservations for 6:30 PM or starting from 9:30 PM.
Lastly, as mentioned, you can always come without a reservation and we will find you a seat as quickly as possible.
